Tamara Grose
is founder, artistic director and choreographer for Rohnert Park
City Ballet. She has a BFA from the North Carolina School of the
Performing Arts. She has danced with the North Carolina Dance Theater,
Harkness, American Ballet Theater's Jr. Company, Director Richard
Englund and Pauline Korner's Dance Consort. Tamara has toured and
taught master classes throughout the USA as well as for Brooklyn
College in NY and Scarsdale Ballet for Allegra Kent of the New York
City Ballet. She has been asked to be a guest instructor on the
East Coast and in Europe this summer (2003).
Tamara moved to northern
California, and was asked by the late Charles Schultz to instruct
a dance class for himself and his employees at the Redwood Empire
Ice Arena. She also assisted figure-skating coach, Tahlma Ahlers
with choreography for competitive programs. Two of their former
protégés were in this year's Nationals, one of which was an alternate
for the 2002 Winter Olympics.

Tamara freelances as
a choreographer and dance consultant. Recent projects:

Kjell Andresson in Sweden on Eurhythmy Master Classes
- Showcase Talents Modeling
and Film Agency in Myrtle Beach, SC
- Gigi Grose for Anti-Gravity
in NYC, their latest collaboration being the closing ceremony
for the 2002 Winter Olympics
- Fantastic Feet Studio
of Dance in California for it's state and national competitions

Gabrielle Thompson
began classical and contemporary ballet training in Northern California
under the direction of Tamara Grose. After seven years she was sent
to Paris to study ballet at La Marais.
Gabrielle returned to
the US and spent the next 2 years studying and performing with the
Sarasota Ballet in Florida.
|
|
She then attended the
Alvin Ailey School New York learning other dance forms. She returned
to California where she was featured as a soloist with several regional
ballet companies.
In the past two years
Gabrielle has toured with The Landini Dance Company and performed
as a guest soloist for Highly Unlikely, Harry Denton's Rouge and
Rock My Soul throughout the Bay Area. Most recently she performed
the role of Hermia in David McNaughton's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".
Gabrielle is co-director
of Rohnert Park City Ballet, as well as being an instructor and
guest soloist. She continues to perform and she teaches in Marin
as well.
Gabrielle's goal is to
use encouragement and love to teach her students to believe in themselves,
to find unison with body and mind, to carry on in life with determination,
self-confidence and courage.
